Power Systems Design/Automation Engineer

The successful applicant will have at least 5 years experience in any of the following areas Hydro, Nuclear, GAS, Steam or Coal power generation environment. This individual must have been involved in automation projects in any of the above areas and must be abreast of modern cutting edge technology in the Utilities area, including knowledge of Distributed Control System (DCS). Manufacturing Automation Experience will be considered as well. He/She must be capable of taking a project from concept to completion including but not limited to the following;

Planning, analysis, RFP development and cost estimation.

Substation design, equipment specification, procurement, & Installation.

Power System Automation, estimation of automation cost & implementation of automation.

Distributed Control System Integration into existing power plant

Transformer Specification, selection and deployment.

Station Management, Maintenance, upgrade, and Support

Project Management

B.Sc, M.Sc. or Ph.D in engineering or equivalent.

The successful candidate must be a team planner, a communicator and a detail oriented person who is also capable of working independently. Extensive travel is required within North America with occasional oversea travel. Must be computer literate in MS Office tools, MS project, PowerPoint, Access.

Senior Wireless Hardware Engineer

The successful applicant will have at least 10 years experience in any of the following areas Wireless, Data, VoIP, or networking environment. This individual must have been involved in complex wireless (3G, W-CDMA, CDMA2000, WiFi, GPRS), GPS and VoIP projects and must be abreast of modern cutting edge technology and standards in the wireless mobility, including knowledge of relevant IETF, IEEE and ITU standards. Years of experience in FPGA, ASIC, DSP and Board level design is a must. Exposure to manufacturing Automation Test Equipment and processes will be considered an asset.

He/She must be capable of taking a development projects from concept to completion including but not limited to the following;

Planning, use-case analysis, specification, high-level design, detailed design, schematic, firmware design and testing.

Project and team leadership.

Prototyping, testing and troubleshooting.

Regulatory Compliance and test laboratory interface.

Component Vendor selection and management.

B.Sc, M.Sc. or Ph.D in engineering or equivalent.

Senior Wireless Software Engineer

The successful applicant will have at least 10 years experience in any of the following areas Wireless, Data, VoIP, Telecom or networking environment. This individual must have been involved in complex wireless (3G, W-CDMA, CDMA2000, WiFi, GPRS), GPS and VoIP projects and must be abreast of modern cutting edge technology and standards in the wireless mobility, including knowledge of relevant IETF, IEEE and ITU standards.Years of experience developing communication software, testing, troubleshooting is a must. Linux, SIP, H.323, MGCP, VoIP, 3G, Mobility and other communication languages & tools are required.

He/She must be capable of taking a development projects from concept to completion including but not limited to the following;

Planning, use-case analysis, specification, high-level design, detailed design, coding, testing, debugging and compiling.

Project and team leadership.

Load-building, testing and troubleshooting.

Product and Integration testing.

Error tracking, resolution and technical support.
